Similac was forced to recall millions of it's powdered formual cans after a common warehouse bug, the beetle, was found in their production plant. Their spokesman said only about 99.8 percent of the cans were contaminated but chose to take protective action.
I think this is important because as consumers we often forget that human beings are processing the food that we consume. We need to pay closer attenion to the companys we purchase our goods from. Warehouses do contain bugs, rats and other types of rodents we probably would prefer not to think of. No amount of extermination can completely wipe the world clean of these pests...we need to be educated consumers.
